Keishi Pearls, also known as Keshi Pearls, petal Pearls and cornflake Pearls, are a wafer thin flat exotic pearl variety formed when the mollusc expels the foreign object yet continues to produce nacre. As the nacre has no object to coat it forms a freeform shape which can be either a nugget shape of a flat petal like shape. As Keishi Pearls are all nacre they have absolutely stunning luster and natural colors. The most desirable Keishi Pearls are those which are wafer thin, with larger Keishi Pearls being the most rare and valuable.
